To ensure the safety and health of all animals and staff at Ohana Doggie Daycare (ODDC), we require all clients to comply with the following rules and regulations:
GENDER: Male dogs over 7 months old must be NEUTERED. Non-spayed females will not be allowed to attend daycare while in heat.
AGE: Dogs/puppies of any age are allowed to attend daycare given that they meet the ODDC criteria. Puppies may begin attending daycare as early as the completion of their third round of vaccinations.
ENROLLMENT: All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date, and approved enrollment form on file. All dogs are required to have attended daycare within 90 days before being able to board. If a dog has been out of daycare for over six months, re-assessment is required and fees will be applied. ALL ODDC FORMS MUST BE SIGNED BY OWNER BEFORE ENROLLMENT.
VACCINATIONS: All dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccinations. Owners must submit written verification that their dog(s) is vaccinated against, specifically, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Bordetella. Owners will receive reminders when vaccinations are due. It is then the owner’s responsibility to provide current vaccination records.
HEALTH: Owners are obligated to verify that their dog(s) is in good health and is free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize the health of other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days must provide veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted to daycare. If, at any time during care, a dog is noticed to have fleas or ticks, the owner will be notified and treatment may be applied and charged to the owner at the minimum rate of $10.00. All dogs will be examined for signs of fleas and ticks at check in. This “spot check” is not a foolproof process; therefore, ODDC requires all dogs to be on a topical or oral flea and tick preventative (excluding flea and tick collars). Product suggestions: K-9 Advantix, Frontline Plus, Advantage.
COLLARS: Collars are required for all dogs with nametags, specifically, EASY DETACHTABLE collars with a squeeze buckle for safety purposes. All dogs must arrive on a leash or in a carrier. RETRACTABKLE LEASHES are not encouraged. Please make sure that all collars and leashes are labeled. ODDC is not responsible for any unlabeled leashes/collars.
FOOD/MEDICATION: All food brought to ODDC must be stored in an airtight container. Plastic resalable food bags are acceptable. Food for boarding must be labeled and pre-packed into separate meals. All medications should be pre-packed and labeled by dose; however, original container is needed for identification purposes. If this is not done, ODDC will charge a special needs fee.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs must pass the ODDC behavior assessment prior to enrollment into our program. All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food and/or toy possessive. Owners will need to explain any prior incidences where their dog(s) have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any persons or dogs. Please be mindful that all dogs will be spending time with other owners’ pets and the safety and health of all dogs is ODDC’s main priority. Although daycare is supervised play, dogs may get an occasional nip or scratch during play.

Unused daycare passes and/or boarding are nonrefundable.
SAFETY: ODDC has trained staff on duty 24/7. We monitor dog behaviors and take necessary precautions to prevent any negative behaviors from occurring. We will communicate all concerns with owners and work with you and your dog as much as we can. We are concerned with the health and safety of each of our dogs and therefore have a no bite policy. If any dog maliciously bites another dog or staff member without provocation (as deemed by the manager on duty), he/she will be dismissed from attending ODDC.
